Katerina Gacek is a primary teacher who gained her teaching diplomas both in the Czech Republic and the UK. She has ten years’ work experience at preparatory schools in UK and international schools in Prague. Katerina has always found teaching young children both fulfilling and rewarding and therefore decided to carry on with her mission after becoming a second time mum and joined the ClassActs team in 2012. She takes joy in helping children master their language skills and become confident readers.
Erica Hartinger is a ClassActs board member actively involved with the organization of the Bohemian Bilinguals program and an experienced teacher of English. She is American, living in Prague over 16 years, married to a Czech and mom to 3 bilingual children. It is her goal to help her children- both her own and those in her classes- maintain a level of English language arts that corresponds to their grade level in the US.
Troy Witt has taught literature and history in the public education system in Ontario, Canada, as well
as English as a second language in Vancouver and Prague. Troy will be leading Reader´s Club for older kids.
Katie Barnes has been a member of Class Acts for two years with her children (born 2007, 2009, and 2011) who have attended many of their classes and activities. She has joined the board this year and will be leading a new class, Poetry Teatime, as well as the younger group of Readers Club and After School English for 1st and 2nd Graders. She homeschools her children and strives to offer fun, creative ways to learn.
